A team of four members from Sina Institute visited CS department at the University of Milano-Bicocca, in Italy, from March 11, 2012 to March 20, 2012, in which intensive and fruitful scientific discussions took place. The aim of this visit is to widen the students’ knowledge and improve their abilities in various topics, in order to contribute to the Institute’s scientific and research goals. This visit comes as part of SIERA project activities, mainly, revise Sina’s R&D strategy and set up joint research & cooperation.
Professors and PhD researchers at Bicocca University presented their knowledge and work to the visiting members, in the fields of Information Value, Semantic Web Languages, OWL Language, Web Service Contracts, Linking Records in Dynamic World, and Ontology Matching.
From their side, the members of Sina institute presented the Institute’s goals, current researches, and projects. Moreover, the discussions include the Institute’s strategies and services, in which the eG4M Methodology was suggested to develop the strategy of the institute as part of SIERA project. They also discussed papers presenting state-of-the-art in multilingual ontology matching to enrich the scientific cooperation between Sina institute and the hosting university.
